January 15, 2019 05:48 AM PST
The University of Michigan had their new Gymnastics coach/consultant, Rhonda Faehn, work with the team on Thursday of last week, announced her hiring on Saturday morning, and was fired on Sunday evening!
Faehn, who was the head of the USA Gymnastics women's program, before being ousted in May, was apparently told of the Dr. Larry Nassar allegations in 2015. According to multiple reports, she reported the abuse allegations to the FBI about a week later.
Faehn was not charged with anything, was not indicted, and apparently did nothing to aid Nassar. Yet, when her hiring became public, demands were called for her ouster.
Was she given a raw deal? Did we miss something here? What are YOUR thoughts? if she did nothing wrong, is her career now tainted forever, because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time?Educator/Author, Jill Dobbe (1-14-19)
